I know, I know, I'm behind. But please know I've got lots of fun photos coming up that I know you all will enjoy. For now, here is my ultimate favorite posts of them all of our Texas trip-the ocean and all that comes with it. Those of you who know me well know that one of my favorite places to be is on the beach. After breakfast, Monday morning we packed up a quick lunch and was on our way to the North Padre Island. We were blessed to have marvelous weather when our family took a trip there with our friends, the Martinezs. The ocean was absolutely gorgeous! I tried so hard to capture the sunlight's sparkle on the blue water, so you'll have to tell me how I did. :)

Since Spring is setting in, life is getting busier each week. So please bear with me as I try hard to keep this blog updated-for you. :)

Hearing the sound of the ocean roar, the sun shining on the sea, shimmering watching the seagulls soar and the sand glimmering.
~Aly Churchill

Faithful Lenna writing her friends names in the sand. I think she had at least 15 names she had to write.

Some we did normally...

...but others we did with the water in the back.

Elita and Hannah love the beach as well, but of course you can't really tell. ;)

Well would ya look at that! Josiah's sisters are the same height as him! Then what's with his smug little grin?

Rebecca and Lenna enjoying the water.

Me with my little sisters...

Dream, dream, dream of a mountain, a mountain so high a mountain so big but how can you climb in its slope so steep?
~Joven Demapitan

Dad enjoying the sun, but secretly trying to tan. ;)

I'm not exactly sure what this one is about, I just came over and he jumped into this position so I thought I'd make the most of it and get a shot.

The Texas flag in the sand.

There's nothing like being "chased" by the waves. I'd say the waves got them...

Us girls-friends for life.

One of my favorite shells...Can you guess what they're called?

Josiah's little friend named Bob. Such a creative name...

Ocean+Blue Skies=Beauty.

After the beach we decided to stop to get a treat at WhataBurger. Here is Lenna checking to see if there is any Wi-Fi. :)

Hannah looking like she's being blown away, but her smiles keep coming.

Smiling and tanned-I'd say they had a great day. :)

Wow -those pictures are gorgeous! You captured the ocean beautifully!

The one of you, Hannah and Elita is so sweet! Love it!

Bob the Crab - I like it! :-)

It was fantastic to see you guys this past weekend! I think that our next visit should be just a fun get together though, not a big conference so that we can just enjoy each other's company, rather than try to pull off a huge event! Did you end up getting to stay for the evening celebration? I didn't see you afterwards, so I wasn't sure. If not, you can check our blog for some video of the songs.

Blessings to you!
-Tara

We went to that Whataburger last time we went there too, even sat out on the deck.:) Looks like fun!

Tara, Thank you! No, unfortunately we weren't able to. Mom wasn't feeling up to it and we had a long drive back-but it was *great* to you see you and Kathryn! Next time, hopefully, we'll be able to talk more. :) Love you!

Leah-Thanks!! Oh now fun! Yeah, we love that Whataburger, its kinda like tradition to go there. :) Actually, we were pretty surprised, the seagulls didn't try to get our food. But usually they do...Oh! And I got your e-mail and will reply to it soon, haven't forgotten you! :) *hugs*
