Thoughts about the Election....

The other day a good friend of mine and I were talking about the results of the Presidential Election, she reminded me of the story when the people of Israel were complaining because they didn't have a King. And how that's exactly what the people of America are doing today, and yet, they got what they wanted. Yes, Obama is our soon-to-be president...The more and more I hear about all the things that Obama has been doing, and things that he will do, the more and more I feel God's Peace, the Peace that passes all Understanding. As we are going through hard times, we not only need God, but we also need each other. But should we be "slamming" our Elected President? Even though he's definetly not the person we thought was going to get Elected, should we be mocking him? We should be praying for him, that God would open his eyes so that he would see Jesus. I'm always reminded of Psalm 121, that chapter has stregthend me through so many hard times. As I'm sure it will you also. Another verse that comes to mind is Psalm 118:24 - "This is the day the Lord hath made; We will REJOICE and be glad in it."

This verse is telling us that whether God has an easy year for us, or a hard year, HE WILL BE IN CONTROL. And He will protect His Chosen ones. As we live out the rest of our lives, not only think and pray for our President, but also for the people that we meet in our every day lives, have them see that you are different. And *Shine the Light*!
